The Process

1 Sign Up for an Account

Creating an account is easy. We remain transparent with you throughout the process, we give you a quotation of the service fees before you spend any time completing a compatibility profile.

To match you with other businesses, we ask for just a few key factors. We allow you to rank their level of importance too, so the factors that aren’t relevant don’t get in the way. All the information you provide is optional too. The more you provide, the more accurate your matches will be.

If you are worried about your identity, you can rest easy. We don’t share any identification information with anyone until you and the match are ready. Once you sign up for the site, you will be given a random ID number – this is how other users can distinguish between you and others.

During the creation of your profile you can rank the business factors that are most important to you. eMerger uses these rankings to generate your best potential matches. The more detail you provide, the more reliable these matches will be.

2 Pick A Matched Business

After you’ve created your profile, eMerger will do the rest. Your top matches will be presented on your profile page, and if you wish to change your factors your matches will update automatically.

eMerger will notify you when a new match is generated and as other users interact with you. You can also choose to receive these notifications via email.

If you’re interested in a business, just select it and you can see a breakdown of all its factors against yours!

3 Start the Merging Process

Once you’ve picked a match, you’ll complete a series of question and answer stages with the other business. To start off with, you’re just acquaintances. The eMerger introduction service is progressive. You don’t have to give up a significant amount of information until you and your match have satisfied the criteria necessary for your combination.

This starts with a simple Question and Answer phase. It’s like meeting for coffee. When you and the other business are ready, you can move on to Open Response questions. Now the communication gets interesting!

When both you and the other party have made a decision to move forward, each business can reveal itself to the other.

To finalize your agreement we have optional merger facilitators who will assess the deal and advise both parties. The facilitators can verify key information about each business without revealing the identity of either party. This keeps the process verifiable, reliable and most of all – safe. At any time in the process you’d like to move straight to open communication, you can select the “fast track” button to ask your match to skip the other steps.
